Revit starting again

First thing

1)Elevation levels
- i found out that the default did not reflect the 2 dp, so to change.
--> click on <manage><project units>, adjust from here.
-it should update

2)Floor plan reflection order
-right click on <views> in project browser
-click on <browser organisation>

Thoughts from 15th Feb

From L book on theory for her phd, it has one sentence that seems to hold with me " never underestimate the power of inter dependencies"

i have this image of a woven net of actions, placed very lightly on top of the surface of water or ash.
When in resistance to any point of this net, this carefully calibrated tension has to go somewhere. either to another point on the net, or worst still if off the net, and onto the person. last thing we want.

Think i have too many comments expressed. that i should keep them to myself.
i should also keep my words simple

now that we will be re-arranging our seats, lessons learnt from H
- Always design for the worst case scenario
- Identify the bottlenecks eg: setbacks, efficiency for number of staircases, occupancy load, escape distance, ventilation ( NV; 12m vs MV)
- determine allowable widths & areas
- Usage by who

Multi-Storey Staircase

One of the first challenge is how to build a multi-storey staircase efficiently.
When i first started creating a stair, i couldn't remove the railing, and had a query.
Next thing i knew, the entire staircase was being model for me..
Things to take note of, the start with first riser, and end with riser, so that the center beam can align well.

About analysis

Problem proposition:
Linkway cuts across the plaza, how to remedy the ramp.
Level difference along the perimeter.

My sequence:
-Adjusting the contours?
-Why need for ramp to go up and down

J sequence:
-This linkway, firstly, " does it work", how does it look, from the road, look upon the roof.
Levels wise, does not even work so well
-Who uses this linkway

-Double linkway conundrum

Overall:
Sequence of questions, what is important?
Based on question asked, the bottleneck, does it work beautifully first?-existing context-human perspective

Last day of 30 days advanced ab workout.
Last day of working along, almost in the office. had the calmness to rethink about bch, it was nice to focus on design

2020 Day 1

A sunny morning this day. after NY s eve at O house, with S friends. L is in town. Design Review Input and keywords

Nodes and relations.

-note rising main radius is 38m, if short of a little even after all staircase, can add standby firehose
-access way to be within 18m of breeching inlet
