06/100 One day late post

 So this is the CNY week, i forgot to post yesterday, even though i was working on my pc till about 1130.

So yesterday was a a Sunday. Woke up at about 10am, heading to T to prepare lunch. The star of the meal was a " Firecracker", a roll of a pengcai, cha sao on the outside, with yam, chestnuts and some treasures inside. We made soup, a meat, tomato and bittergourd, with many tomatoes a per a la S style. A tofu dish, that was quite simple, Mix, oyster sauce, soy, vinegar, sugar , chop garlic, scallions into hot oil and over the steam tofu of 8mins. It was a meal of just the right portions, that we haven't had in a while. K broke his nose over the week, so we saw him in his plastered nose. Q as usual was an adolescent and having a little tantrum every now and then and X, was as usual as well, as L likes to say, in her own world, saying her favourite phrase of the moment, " are you ok". Had a hair appointment with S 5pm, did a scalp treatment, this time it was at novena. Found parking at the loading/ unloading bay, terrible planning. kinda smelly, and quite  a few dead corners. wtf. After a quick dinner at the foodcourt, i headed to paragon to buy the CNY clothes. was going to buy new sorella s when i came across a linen orangey shirt and brown pants that will be my first day clothes. Armed with 5 unders, and 5 uppers, new black socks from nike as well from sat, think i m ready for this coming 2021 cny! by the time i rode back was about 930, did the program schedule. quite please w myself actually. manage to finish that and the feasi.  ok typing this in the rush hour of the morning! 

It going to be a short week this time, work till wed, hooray!

 A saturday that passed fast. woke up at 830am. went for a stroll w K & M at the Hort Park. it was a pleasant day, rode there and felt that it felt like being under the ocean. a bike as a fish, untethered by gravity and by the tedium of everyday inertia. a throttle that glides one through the space, with the expanse of sky above and tar below, and green on 2 sides. as free as one can be. had laksa and otah for lunch. it was really good. simple pleasures of sg. got back at about 3pm, after some shopping at queensway. glad i got the racer feasi out, now whats left is the notes for JHC and the program schedule. had dinner at 7pm, did laundry, hang the clothes, showered and all the time seem to be have disappeared. 

practiced also california dreaming. why is it that when one get older, time passes twice as fast?

 crazy morning that i woke up at 11am today.

jumped straight up, think perhaps i was so relief  to finally have a meeting, that my brain just disconnected. So hopped into a cab, a quick washed up and straight to office.

Also today was the 05/02 dinner w s,z,v. i even thought about buying a new shirt for it, but when it actually came, i was late for work, so it was a crazy rush, a black shirt, grey pants.

we had the P meeting today at 3-4pm, in anticipation of an office sharing which never happened. but we had the team sharing instead which was great. learned alot about a waiver for workers dormitory natural ventilation vs fire code for Fire lift lobby. about grease traps locations and ventilation and also about parti wall bricks and manhole installed acute to last IC, which caused backflow of sewage, which caused many a change of hands. Only told to us, as the ID knew the plumber.

Dinner was great, at the resto Altico that W designed. .really impressive, beautiful space.

glad to be back, shower, hair blown and clean ready to call L and crashed out.

03/100 First Client Meeting ina while

 since i transfer fr the hdb team, today is the first client meeting i went out on. Haven't worn proper shoes ina while, as it had been the white sneaker shoes for the longest time. Also, put on a long sleeve shirt and pants. Quite a crash course in learning about placement of beam and column, and wall alignment to catch beams. It was a 3 hours meeting, in which suggestions were very carefully made, and direction followed. For eg, when we first sat, the client mentioned, he didn't prefer option2, and so, straight to option 1 we went. without talking about option 2 at all, at least for an hour, b4 J slowly steered us back in. Went back to TM for dinner, it was nice, attempted to have another session of online shopping w M, but it was difficult to decide on which one to buy, so this didn't happen. But good to see that it went through, as in M even thought about another item she wanted to buy, but perhaps on a different occasion. The day before yesterday, a monday, the office shared that N mother had passed on from a virus infection. this means that he did not even get the see her, as the quarantine was still on, in fact he was still here on monday to share w us that he will be gone for a month. there is no right time for anything. Covid is under control in sg, waiting for the vaccine to roll out, but was for the rest of the world, it seems numbers are still trying. going to head to bed now, at 12.50am.

 today i went for a run, on my own as i had some work to finish up..

it was nice, and i ended off, lying down on an inclined bench, facing the HSBC, DBS and Fullerton building.

this inclined bench, when i sat on it, i felt so at eased. it was a good moment in touch. Employed, with my namorada, and around chinatown area, and with a vespa.

 Lets do 100 days of blogging

Actually this is inspired by a patreon ukelele person that i follow. hers of course is more challenging at a song a day i think. crazy.

For me, hopefully it ll be easier. Each day is a brand new start. No looking back.

Ukelele class today at 7.30pm, so have to be efficient to finish up the work.

L n i started online counselling, i used to think i could express myself and am eloquent, but i find this really helps. Having someone to paraphrase and restructure ones thoughts. That author i started reading a little, we write so as to savour life twice, Anais something,  and about the modern woman and her compatibility with the sensitive man. So many thoughts go through my head these days, on whether this is the right career for me, with the many pop up windows on government grants on the various courses. And of course, how my future will look with me alone. Without my love.

Better to blog at night i think

if there is anything that can be convincing about a layout, it is a requirement. if one wants to do good design, one needs to understand the requirement well to support ones' case. As when a client has to choose between aesthetics and money. the clear answer is money. unless statutorily required. 

A current example is now, doing a layout of a giant factory space of about 25,800m2, 3 storeys, each story is  8600 sqm. the ideal is one big space, however, think of the urban and human emotion when one looks at this big black box. unreadable, lack of any warmth, however if we can break it up into smaller blocks this would give rise to many opportunities of roof terrace, interlocking shade and shadow... Spotted in the brief, is a requirement for Smoke control of natural means. However, in the 2018 scdf, 7,4  says engineered smoke control is needed when aggregate floor area >5000sqm. here if we keep it to one giant space, 8600 is obviously > 5000 sqm.. and if this NV requirement is necessary, it would make more sense to break the giant massing into min 2 parts.

For previous moh feasi one, after i presented my option 2, from a money perspective, mine was more expensive as toilet stack is further away from the entrance, hence longer and more piping cost. and that was it. probably 3 hours worth of thinking and doing just put away in less than a minute of thought and comment.
